| Thank You for taking the time to visit Mason Ibas online. I feel very fortunate to have been chosen by so many to share my photography with. I founded Mason Ibas Photography in 2004 when I made the jump to digital photography. The Digital format allows me the creativity and ability to capture and process images that I hope will become your "Family Photo's". Now....there is no Mason....my name is Scott Haughey. Since my early days on the Internet (and before that on BBS Boards...remember them?) I have been known as "SabinoSam". A unique moniker in a crowded place (and a tribute to one of my favorite characters, YosimiteSam). While out for a bike ride, and no doubt in oxygen debt, I started to spell SabinoSam backwards. Don't know quite why, just did! You guessed it, after about an hour of thinking I realized it spelled Mason Ibas. A little easier to remember (and spell), and pronounce. Haughey sounds like "Hoy". I bought my first camera with my first paycheck from my first "real" job in 1978, and have been taking images ever since. My passion for all forms of sport allows me to capture not only "pictures", but convey the 'mood" and "personality" of the event. A task I relish.... I am currently the Photographer for TUCSON SPORT MAGAZINE, Official Photographer for THE ARIZONA BICYCLE RACING ASSOCIATION (ABRA) and a regular contributer to THE TUCSON CITIZEN. I also cover several youth sports leagues in the Tucson area, and am the Photographer for the CATALINA FOOTHILLS BASEBALL PROGRAM. Look around my website, and let me know what you think....Feel free to contact me anytime if you have questions, or would like me to be YOUR photographer.... Thanks again....Scott (or Mason) |
